Naejangsan Mountain, also called as Yeongeunsan Mountain, is 11 km away from Jeongeup, and is one of the Top 8 Scenic Spots of Korea. In Naejangsan Mountain, there are Yonggul Cave, Geumseon Falls, Dodeok Falls, and two valleys called Geumsan and Wonsuk.
The mountain was named Naejangsan because, it has infinite things hidden in the mountain, and has a very unique scenic beauty with nine mountaintops- Sinseonbong Peak, Kkachibong Peak, Yeonjibong Peak, Manghaebong Peak, Bulchulbong Peak, Seoraebong Peak, Wolyeongbong Peak, Yeonjibong Peak and etc.― creating a horseshoe shape. The mountain is also a habitat for 13 plants and animals designated as natural monuments including Daphniphyllum macropodum.
During spring, the mountain is filled with forsythia, azalea, plum blossoms and mountain cherry blossoms. During summer, the forest grows deep and the water at the valleys turn cool. The mountain is known to have the most beautiful autumn scenery in Korea as the trees turn their colors, and the snow scene during winter is also very beautiful.
